I'm Lydia Burth-Weir, founder of Yoga Kula Byron Bay, teacher of Integrated Himalayan Kriya Yoga, Meditation, Vedic Astrologer, Healer and and mother of 3 beautiful children and dog.
My adventurous nature has take me to many exotic places around the world, however it took me a long time to finally set foot on Mother India. Too intense were the travel experiences I heard from fellow travellers when I was younger and so I put Mother India to the side until I felt ready.
My yogic studies and increasing curiosity and thirst of wanting to experience the home land of yoga, finally set me free of any doubts and I was finally guided into immersing into the rich traditions of India.
India takes you into a spell which is way beyond words.
I have been back several times a year to deepen my studies of yoga, meditation and Vedic Astrology and each time another experience and adventure awaits.
Once you set foot onto Mother India, she will never leave you. The open heartness of the people, the rich culture, ancient knowledge will stay with you forever and will guide you ultimately on your journey home into the heart.

Discover the sacred city of Rishikesh: the cradle of yoga and home of the Himalayan Masters.
The experience I have prepared for you is an amazing opportunity to dive into the ancient tradition of yoga at the foothills of the Himalayas - Rishikesh, the birthplace of yoga!I have picked the most beautiful accommodation to provde you with an exeptional level of comfort and ease of transitioning to the indian experience.Our daily routine will encompass ancient rituals, yoga, meditation, wisdom talks all of these infusing you with the wisdom of the Himalayan Masters.We will explore ancient temples and caves which carry the vortex of thousands of years of ancient rishis, meditating and channeling the transcendental yogic wisdom at these places. The energetic vortex is palpable and by spending time at these places you will infuse your personal practice with the blessings of the ancient Masters who have lived and meditated there long before us.With the support of a group of likeminded travellers we will be able to enjoy our experience together.There will be plenty of time of learning and deepening your practises as well as venturing out to explore the streets of Rishikesh, with its many shops, markets and restaurants.In the second week we will be participating in the International Yoga Festival- A Celebration of the Joy of Yoga in the world famous Parmath Niketan Ashram at the Banks of the holy river Ganga in Rishikesh. You will have the opportunity to attend many workshops and classes held by world leaders in the field of yoga and spirituality whilst meeting students of yoga from all over the world. The program is rich and diverse including music, cultural events, panel talks, rituals, a diverse range of yoga workshops as well as the famous evening Aarti at the banks of Ganga.I hope you are able to take this opportunity to join me on this very special trip to Ganga Ma in Rishikesh - the birthplace of yoga.
