You may feel the desire to explore a little bit more of India while you are there... For you, I have put together an additional cultural offering to experience the sacred sights, temples and sights of cultural significance & beauty in the holy city of Haridwar, Dehli and Agra/Taj Mahal.
The optional additional experience includes:
HARIDWAR:
  • sights such as the Sage Anandamaya's Temple, Sri Yantra Temple, Kali Temple, Devi Temple and the famours Aarti/Fire ceremony at sunset on the Ganga river.
Dehli

  • Your passport is required to be 6 months valid from the time of your travel.
  • You are responsible for your flights and luggage fees.

  • Internal flights in India are strict about luggage and carry-on weight. While we understand you may want to bring home gifts, if you do acquire additional items please know you may have a significant charge at the airport.
  • People often ask us how much money to bring or how much they will expect to spend. Apart from a few meals, we have everything covered. Meals are about $10-20. The cost of other expenditures may vary. Due to inflation over the past few years, India is not as inexpensive as it once was. Souvenirs and gift items can add up. Take precaution before promising gifts to all - and remember a stone from the Ganges maybe the most meaningful thing you can bring home, plus it’s free.

Logistics

A non-refundable deposit of 50% of your fee is payable at the time of your booking. The remaining amount is payable by the 1/1/2024. Refer to the bank details here. We will create a WhatsApp group and add you to it once you’re deposit is received. This allows us to share travel information and cultivate joyful community prior to departure. I can be contacted via WhatsApp +61424718813 or email yogakulabyronbay@gmail.com anytime to assist in the preparation of the journey. 3 Zoom calls are scheduled, the first one on September 27th, the second on October 14th & the third on November 24th. Please register your interest, so I can work out the best time zone for these calls!

VISA

Please remember a visa is required and must be obtained from the India Consulate nearest you. Indian e-visa- this is easily applied for online: https://indianvisaonline.gov.in (Allow 1-2 weeks processing time!) Your passport is required to be 6 months valid from the time of your travel.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

Cancellation Insurance is compulsory for this trip as no exceptions to the cancellation provisions can be made.

How to get to Rishikesh?

Domestic Flight From the International Airport Delhi you can either take a Domestic flight to Dehadrun and then a 45 min taxi to Rishikesh. A taxi pick up from Dehadrun Airport can be arranged. Please get in touch if you require this service. Costs 40/50 US$ Domestic flights have restricted luggage allowance (~15-18kg) and you may be charged for excess. Taxi A taxi journey will take anything from 5 hours upwards depending on the traffic. A driver can be recommended. The luggage allowance is generous for this option. Please note that indian traffic and driving may differ from the standard of your home country. Please ensure to be at the Hotel in Rishikesh by 1pm Check in time on March 1st 2024! I will open a WhatsApp group with all travellers to coordinate our travel arrangements. Group members may want to share a taxi or book the same flight.
